About ME

Nice to meet you

What’s up everyone, I am Taylor Lafferty! I am a student at the University of Findlay, majoring in Exercise Science, Pre-physical Therapy. On top of that, I just happen to like lifting heavy circles. I am a former collegiate softball player, who grew up playing ball since I was 8. It had my heart until I found lifting and decided two months ago to hang up the cleats and begin my full-time lifting career.

I grew up in the gym because of softball; I have been trained in strength and conditioning by coaches since I was 12 years old. I have always been fascinated by lifting and training, a little more than softball, but wanted to play collegiate ball. Once I saw that softball became a job, rather than a loved hobby, I made the transition to being a part of a powerlifting team and being coached by a professional staff.

With all that said, I not only lift because I like it, but I also lift because there is a different kind of community within powerlifters. It is a sense of grit, determination, family, a strive for greatness, everything I want to be surrounded by. Individuals who push themselves both physically and mentally. To surround myself with individuals of a higher caliber only makes me better as well. I want to continue to surround myself with people who want greatness, want the best, and to be the best.

Why?

I have started my social media accounts, and this website, and will start more resources for everyone to access because I want beginners, intermediates, and advanced lifters to have the knowledge, community, and love for this sport and the grind and determination it takes to succeed at the tips of their fingertips; what I wished I had when I started. I want to be a resource, a wealth of knowledge for other individuals who need it and want it.

I will always remain accessible and contactable for anyone who wants to get better, and I actually mean that. I will never be someone who ignores or brushes people off who want to get better and those who need some form of guidance.

Join me in this adventure!
